It's amazing what one sees driving around Kabul. Remnants from what must have been quite a past life. Here is what's left of the King's Palace where the King of Afghanistan lived during the 1970s. He is now exiled in Italy. There is also a Queen's Palace about 1/2 mile from this site and the Princess's Palace somewhere in Kabul.
