This is a photo I snapped at the 8th meeting of the Tripartite Commission -- a body made up of representatives from the US, Afghanistan and Pakistan to improve security in this region. In the center with the three stars is my boss, LTG David Barno. This meeting took place at the Govt of Aghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The inside of the building reminded me a bit of the Kennedy Center in DC.
