The midwives posed for a photo with me. The Kabul Women's Hospital has some of the most highly trained midwives in Afghanistan. They are kind professionals. There are doctors as well, but they are reserved for the complicated cases, such as cesarean births. The hospital delivers approximately 50 babies per month, with 1-3 cesarean births per day.
